Jupiter – Privacy Policy
1) INTRODUCTION
This Privacy Policy explains how Jupiter collects, uses, stores and protects personal data when you use the Jupiter web application and related services (the “Service”).
Jupiter is a football decision engine designed to help users explore football matches through standings, recent form, market information, statistics and contextual indicators.
Jupiter does not provide betting advice, does not predict match results and does not guarantee outcomes.
2) DATA COLLECTED
Depending on how you use Jupiter, we may collect the following categories of information.
Account information: email address, nickname, account status and information required to authenticate and manage registered users.
Anonymous session information: a technical session identifier used to recognise the same browsing session before or without registration.
Usage and interaction information: pages visited, selected Jupiter criteria, viewed fixtures, watchlist actions, search queries, opened panels and other interaction events necessary to understand how the Service is used.
Preferences: saved matches, nickname, interface language stored in the browser and Premium interest where expressly requested.
Technical information: browser type, operating system, device category, platform, referring page, timestamps, technical identifiers and diagnostic or security logs.
Support communications: questions, suggestions and other messages sent through Jupiter, together with the information necessary to reply.
Jupiter does not require GPS location, motion sensors or health information to provide the Service.
3) PURPOSES OF PROCESSING
Personal and usage information may be processed to:
- provide and operate the Jupiter Service;
- authenticate registered users;
- manage nicknames, watchlists and preferences;
- show the appropriate Guest, Free or Premium experience;
- understand how users interact with Jupiter;
- improve selection criteria, usability and product quality;
- evaluate interest in future Premium functions;
- answer questions and support requests;
- maintain security, prevent abuse and diagnose errors;
- comply with applicable legal obligations.
4) LEGAL BASES
Performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR): where processing is necessary to provide the Service, authenticate an account or deliver a requested feature.
Consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR): where you voluntarily submit information, express interest in Premium or request optional communications. Consent may be withdrawn at any time.
Legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR): for Service security, fraud and abuse prevention, diagnostics, aggregated product analytics and improvement of Jupiter, provided that such interests do not override your fundamental rights and freedoms.
Legal obligations (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR): where processing is required by applicable law.
5) AUTHENTICATION
Registered users access Jupiter through a one-time verification code sent by email.
Jupiter does not require users to create or store a traditional account password for this authentication flow.
After successful verification, an authentication token is created and stored in the user's browser. The token may expire or be revoked when the user signs out.
6) PRODUCT USAGE ANALYTICS
Jupiter records anonymous or authenticated interaction events to understand how the Service is actually used and to improve the product.
Examples may include:
- opening the home page or another Jupiter page;
- selecting a Jupiter criterion;
- opening a football fixture;
- adding or removing a fixture from the watchlist;
- opening the Premium, profile, help or information panels;
- performing a search;
- expressing interest in future Premium functions.
These events are used to measure usability, identify real product problems and understand which parts of Jupiter are useful to users.
Personal information and usage events are not sold to third parties.
7) WATCHLISTS AND PREFERENCES
Registered users may save fixtures to a personal watchlist and choose a nickname.
Jupiter may also store an interface language preference in the browser through a cookie or similar local technology.
If a user expresses interest in Premium, Jupiter records that choice so that the same request does not need to be submitted repeatedly.
8) DATA RETENTION
Data are retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.
Anonymous session and interaction data may be retained for product analysis, security and Service improvement. Where possible, such information may be aggregated or anonymised.
Registered account information and saved preferences are retained while the account remains active or until deletion is requested, unless a longer period is required by law.
One-time authentication codes are temporary and expire after a limited period.
Technical and security logs may be retained for an additional limited period for diagnostics, security and continuity.
Support communications may be retained for the time necessary to answer the request and manage any related follow-up.
9) DATA RECIPIENTS
Jupiter does not sell personal data.
Information may be processed by trusted providers strictly where necessary to operate the Service, including:
- hosting and infrastructure providers;
- email delivery providers;
- security, maintenance and technical service providers;
- payment providers if paid Premium functions are introduced.
Such providers may act as data processors and are required to process information according to applicable data protection obligations.
10) INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS
Some technical providers may process information outside the European Economic Area.
Where required, appropriate safeguards are used, including adequacy decisions, the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or other lawful transfer mechanisms.
11) SECURITY
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures designed to protect information against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, misuse, loss or destruction.
These measures may include encrypted communications, access controls, authentication tokens, logging, database protections and regular technical maintenance.
No online service can guarantee absolute security.
12) YOUR RIGHTS
Under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), where applicable, you may have the right to:
- access your personal data;
- request correction of inaccurate information;
- request deletion of personal data;
- request restriction of processing;
- object to processing based on legitimate interests;

13) CHILDREN
Jupiter is not intended for children under 16 years of age.

This Privacy Policy may be updated to reflect changes to Jupiter, legal requirements or data processing practices.
The latest version will always be made available through the Jupiter website.
